1950's Vintage Asian Cluth

Description

A beautiful 1950's Chinese box bag with a lovely Chinoiserie silk material and corded silk handle. The bag has hard box like sides.
The material is green, There is a small worn section of the fabric on two of the bottom corners, see photos.
The bag fastens with a little bone hook and eye catch. Inside the bag is a mirror which is in excellent condition. Opposite the mirror is a little pocket made from ivory coloured silk for lipsticks etc. The elastic on this pocket is quite loose. The inside of the bag is very clean given its age.
As with any vintage items there are signs of wear on some of the edges of the bag where the fabric is wearing thin, so it is not in pristine condition. The material has become a little grubby in places, but these do not detract from what is a truly beautiful bag.
