Vintage German Silver Chainmail Purse w/ Lining - Alpacca

Description

Very unique collectible Alpacca Silver Mesh Purse.  Very heavily embossed with gorgeous detailed raised floral design on frame.
German silver is a base metal alloy consisting of nickel, copper and zinc.  There is NO silver content in it whatsoever.  The name was coined
because the metal is silver in color and polishes to a shine mimicking sterling.
The body of this purse shows the mesh to be running horizontally.  All of the mesh appears to be in extra fine condition, no holes or detached links that I have found.  The mesh is secured at the hinges, all about the frame and drapes with a pleated form.  Kiss lock ball closure.  Silver chain handle.  Stunning, quality workmanship.
Excellent condition - does not appear to have any damage.
Measures approx - 6-3/4" x 6-1/2" (purse itself)   Drop chain handle measures 20-1/2" long
